About White River Waterproofing

White River Waterproofing is an independent information and contractor-referral service for homeowners in Anderson and Madison County, Indiana. The site explains why basements here take on water, which fixes fit which problems, and what those fixes typically cost.

We aren’t a contractor. We don’t inspect basements, write quotes or do waterproofing work.

Why this site exists

Searches about Anderson’s water table, combined sewers and White River flooding turn up mostly social media threads and city PDFs. Contractor websites explain their own systems. We wanted one place that puts the public local data in plain language and helps homeowners match their symptoms to the right fix, including the cheap ones.

Referrals

We aren’t taking service requests in the Anderson area yet, so the site is information only. When referrals open, a homeowner’s request will go to one participating local contractor, who contacts the homeowner directly. Participating contractors may pay us a referral fee. We’ll update this page and the privacy policy before that starts. Until then, getting help explains how to find and compare contractors yourself.

How we research and write

  • Local data comes from public sources and is cited where it appears: the U.S. Census, the USDA NRCS soil survey, NOAA climate normals, FEMA flood maps, the National Weather Service and federal court records. The data and methods page explains how each number was produced and what it can’t tell you.
  • Soil survey water-table figures are estimates for mapped areas, not measurements at any house.
  • Prices are ranges from established U.S. cost guides, listed on the cost page.
  • Being paid for referrals won’t change what the pages say. Where a downspout extension or a new pump is enough, we say so.
